- The farm located on the main road between khalis – Al-edhim, Away from the center of Khalis with distance 17 Km, and Away from the center of Baghdad with distance 70 Km north.
- The total project area space is 1500 dunum
- The project includes:
- plantation to produce various seedlings for project and commercial purposes, over 50 dunum and two million annual seedling capacity.
- farm to produce protected vegetables over 200 dunum, it has 1000 greenhouse (half of it under use now)
- Deciduous orchard over 500 dunum
- An olive grove over 500 dunum in addition to Olive press.
- 250 dunum for agricultural research.
- The project uses modern technologies such as drip irrigation methods to meet the project’s water needs, in addition to establish 13 km irrigation project to transfer irrigation water from the Tigris River to the farm.
- The area of the grove to be established is 1000 dunum, which is a large area, therefore divides the grove into fields and sectors with an area 20 dunum for each sector.
- What has been implemented until now is:
- 160 dunum of High oil olives.
- 140 dunum of Deciduous (Pomegranate, grape, fig …etc.)
